WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

Julian_1c.jpg

Is it so small a thing to have enjoyed the sun, To have lived light in the spring, To have loved, to have thought to have done....

Matthew Arnold

Our dear friend Julian will be missed but his kindness, compassion and spirit will live on through those he touched in person and through his websites.

Howdy folks. My name is Julian Hancock, and I live in Sydney, Australia. Horticulture has been my trade and my hobby for more than 30 years.

I trust you will bear with me as I gradually fill all the pages on this website. This will require following the seasons in order to photograph the various plants at their showiest periods.

Contributions of photographs, text, or general feedback will be greatly appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE: This website is NOT intended to serve the function of an encyclopaedia of horticulture. It is simply intended as a collection of photographs of some of my favourite plants, and text will be added in due course.

CREDITS: Most of the photographs on this website have been taken by myself, but I wish to thank the following people for contributing photographs:

IAN HOOK of Sydney, New South Wales, who is Secretary of the NSW BROMELIAD SOCIETY
MARION DAVIS of Lexington, Massachusetts, USA, for photographs of water lilies.

COLIN LUCK of Brisbane, Queensland, for the photographs of carnivorous plants and accompanying text.

PHILLIP ISAACS of Adelaide, South Australia, for assorted photographs.
